Your Role
As a Hydraulics & Hydrology Project Manager with our Engineering team in Los Angeles, you will utilize your expertise to manage projects and with support, grow the H&H team. In this role, you will have the ability to work on a variety of projects including hydrology & hydraulic studies, flood control, drainage design, and stormwater management.
Responsibilities:
Providing technical expertise in the preparation of studies and technical reports Understand client goals and communicate effectively with an attention to client satisfaction Preparing drainage and water quality plans Developing project scopes and budgets Maintaining project files, project documents and as-built schedules Market, network and develop business for public and private stormwater related projectsRequired Qualifications:
BS degree in Civil Engineering California Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months 8+ years’ of progressively responsible H&H/engineering experience Successful track-record in completing H&H/engineering projects (local agencies preferred) Proficient in the practical application of standard industry software packages such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, HY-8, Hydraflow, storm sewer, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Sewer Analysis, and XPSWMM. Strong written/verbal skills capable of preparing SOQs and proposals related to hydrology, hydraulics and drainage design. Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a project involving schedules, budgets and invoicing. Must have strong oral and written communication skills.Preferred:
Experience in AutoCAD and Civil3D is preferred. ArcGIS/MicroStation experience is a plus. Strong business development, team building and operational skillsWhy Psomas
