Job Description

Summary of Function: 
Grant Funded. Serve students and support the mission of the College by analyzing outcomes of career and technical education, workforce development, and vocational programs, and providing technical expertise to enhance data-informed decisions. Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to support institutional research needs and foster a culture of data-informed decision-making.

Typical Duties: 

  • Serves Students. Perform statistical, analytical, and data interpretation functions in producing mandated reports and presentations related to career and technical education, workforce development, and vocational program outcomes (e.g., Carl Perkins, Council on Workforce Policy, Vocational Education Funding). Interpret and apply Arizona Department of Education Postsecondary Career and Technical Education methodologies and evaluation strategies to assess performance against program goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise, training, and support for college-wide Qualtrics online survey platform users. Design, develop, and peer-review survey designs and questions. Manage survey collection timing, summarize, and distribute results of administered Qualtrics surveys. Provide technical assistance and pull data from JobsEQ to support career and technical education and workforce development analysis.
  • Program, design, create, maintain, and query current and archival career and technical education, workforce development, and vocational education data and reports using relevant software applications. Accurately format, securely upload, retrieve, validate, aggregate, protect, and store confidential data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and relevant student records. Ensure data integrity and quality, strictly following FERPA legal requirements.
  • Organize and present career and technical education, workforce development, and vocational program information, analysis, and interpretation clearly and effectively in narrative, tabular, graphical, and verbal formats. Develop and maintain dashboards using data visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or similar software to present data insights and support decision-making processes. Provide statistical arguments and support for various grant renewals and reports.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, conferences, and workshops to stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and institutional research.
  • Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
