Nature of Work

 

Receives, sorts, indexes, files, and retrieves forms, correspondence, and documents; enters data into computer; formats, composes and types documents and reports from written draft and transcription; may take abbreviated notes of meetings; compiles reports and summaries of work; checks and completes records, forms, and documents; develops and maintains office records and files; receives, and responds to correspondence and operates a variety of office machines; answers routine and extraordinary questions from the public; prepares and processes confidential and sensitive documents; responsible for mailing out removal and ineligibility letters; ensures waiting lists are purge on an annual basis; mail notices and prepare packages for mass briefings; receives, processes, and enters Section 8 and Public Housing applicants information into Lindsey program; provides back up for Clerk II to collect payments such as rent, promissory notes and maintenance charges; may assists with processing work orders when needed; secures front office at the end of the day; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.
