Job Description
Example of Work(Illustrative Only) Prepares legal paperwork and for probationers, and files with the court; requests and reviews financial updates, requests immigration checks and criminal histories; communicates with defendants to get waivers for the repayment of monetary assessments can be filed with the court; prepares monthly statistics, files paperwork and makes case notes as appropriate; enters data and verifies information; tracks incoming and outgoing cases; regularly reviews restitution cases and ensures payments are being made; reviews and researches criminal history information to determine if new offenses have been committed or have outstanding warrants; notifies relevant parties when defendants commit new crimes, violate conditions or return to the county illegally; communicates with law enforcement agencies, court personnel and probation or parole officers to obtain necessary reports and documents necessary to determine whether petitions to revoke need to be filed.; coordinates with parole officers to ensure defendants timely release from custody and report to the probation office; assigns cases to field officers when defendants are released from prison; coordinates with supervisors to assign probationers moving from unsupervised probation to supervised probation to field officers. Informs probationers or those newly released from prison who their field officer will be; assists with receptionist duties as needed; assists with other office duties such as answering the telephone, taking payments, reconciling financial information and notarizing documents; performs other functions as assigned; abides by the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.
