Job Description
As the Senior Services Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate, evaluate, and assist with oversight of the center’s programs, activities, special events, and services suitable
to participants; ensure compliance with applicable internal and external requirements.
Orient new employees and volunteers to the division and provide training; ensure that staff understand and comply
with unit policies, procedures, and standards; interpret rules, regulations, and procedures; provide interpretation of
policies based on management expectations.
Coordinate, create, and promote the promotion and marketing of Senior Center activities and events to attract
participation and create awareness through various channels, such as social media, flyers, and community outreach.
Provide administrative support services such as assisting with time and attendance, compiling data, preparing reports,
requesting quotes, processing requisitions (procurement process), travel requests, budget transfers, and any other
related activities.
Monitor & replenish inventory levels for office needs, program operations, and center events.
Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers; represent the division to the public & outside
groups, organizations & agencies; respond to a wide variety of questions, comments, and/or concerns to resolve
related concerns.
Collect registration for new seniors & deposit money from the WACOG Meal program to the City Billing & Collections
Division.
Prepare a variety of difficult and complex reports, letters, resolutions, and other documents; gather, audit,
analyze, maintain, and monitor complex work logs and tracking systems; review and analyze complex legal and
administrative records to identify needed information; develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases,
either by hand or computer; develop forms, form letters, and related documents.
May provide management support as needed; duties and responsibilities may range from approving staff time off
requests, timesheets, or any other directive provided by the Parks and Recreation Administration.
Serve as Liaison with internal and external constituencies and other interested parties regarding programs.
May provide transportation services (using a van) for seniors to and from the Senior Center Facility and during
outings/field trips out out of town.
