Job Summary This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time offer. NATURE OF WORK Under limited supervision, performs professional public health services of moderate difficulty in planning, organizing, and implementing public health programs; this position has Program Specific responsibility. Example of Work (Illustrative Only) Conducts nutrition and breastfeeding assessments for High Risk participants and provides evidence based counseling and specialized formula authorization; maintains reports, may create presentations and training materials; collaborates with Health Care Provider, as needed to ensure proper food benefits are issued; assists with the documenting nutrition/breastfeeding assessments, care plans and follows up in data base; may coordinate and/or facilitate nutrition education and training for new and existing program staff; may coordinate and shall participate in outreach activities; assists with observation of staff for compliance utilizing state WIC provided observation forms; maintains high standards of confidentiality and program integrity; may supervise assigned staff in the absence of a direct supervisor; maintains registration and required licensing credentials by completing continuing education units; works as assigned on a rotation basis, in permanent and satellite WIC Clinics within Yuma County WIC's geographical area; travels to community sites, facilities and institutions; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.
