Description
A. Course Objective: Description: To provide students with didactic and clinical training in preparation for entry-level employment. Students have the opportunity to develop professional skills in customer service, prescription preparation, patient profiling, and drug inventory maintenance.
Competencies to be achieved: PHA 120 Inventory Maintenance: Inventory Control, Handling, Inventory Recordkeeping. Pharmacology: Indications/Contraindications, Dose/Strength and Action Variables, Muscular, Skeletal, Nervous Systems, Gastrointestinal System, Respiratory System, Cardiovascular and Hematologic Systems, Procedures Monitoring, Urinary/Renal System, Endocrine System, Lymphatic System, Reproductive System, Integumentary System, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat. PHA 108 Pharmacy Technician Duties. PHA 140 Principles of Customer Service. PHA 225 Pharmacy Laboratory Skills. PHA 160 Pharmacy Computer Applications.
