A. Course Objective:
Description: Learn the theory, systems and basic problems of business accounting
Competencies to be achieved: Upon successful completion of the Accounting AAS Degree program, the learner will
be able to:
• Apply accounting principles to prepare general purpose financial statements
• Utilize critical thinking in addressing accounting issues
• Maintain a complete set of accounting records, including recording transactions, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating the financial information
• Use accounting software to carry out job functions
