Description
Course Objective:
The Educator Training Program offers basic methodology training in the principles of cosmetology instruction in
order for the Student to start a successful career as a licensed instructor in a licensed school. The program focuses on educational techniques and curriculum development including:
• Use of instructional aids
• Student Salon floor leadership
• Classroom management
• Teaching methods
• Demonstrations and presentations
• Service and performance coaching
• Grading
• Evaluating
• Record keeping
• Effective communication
• Safety, Sanitation, Disinfection, State Laws and Rules
• Lesson planning
• Course Material Management
• Creating course files
Requirements: 350 clock hours, satisfactory academic progress and attendance.
Prerequisites: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent, Cosmetology License

No. Our graduates receive a Cosmetology Educator certificate of completion which allows them to take the state boards to become a licensed cosmetology educator.

• Portable: Yes. Many other states have reciprocity for earned cosmetology clock hours and cosmetology educator licenses. Note: states have different requirements in terms of hours needed to be licensed. If student moves to a state that requires more hours than attended in AZ (650) the student may need to put in additional hours before they can test or for their existing license can be approved in another state.
