A. Course Objective:
Description and Competencies to be achieved: Learn and demonstrate comprehension of all areas of barbering and styling hair: including Theory and classroom instruction required hours (250). Students will learn the history, tools, sterilization, personal hygiene, sanitation, anatomy and physiology, Modern barber trends and implementation, muscle formations, nervous system, cell development, skin, and scalp health, massages, shop ethics and management, salesmanship, Arizona Barber Boards rules and regulations, practical and experimental hands on experience (950 hours are required)cutting, styling shaving , facial treatment, scalp treatment, perms, chemical services, coloring, appropriate products and all other aspects of succeeding in the profession of barbering and owning a successful business in the profession.

Arizona State Board of Barbers requires the student be 16 ½ years of age, have completed the 10th grade and be able to prove citizenship
H. Refund Policy (provide a summary if Refund policy is not listed on school website):
Any refunds unearned tuition and fees dues to contracts termination will be made forty five (45) days of withdrawal date. Dunbar shall refund 90% of tuition if a student withdraws during the first week of class. After 1st week but within first 25% of program, student will be charged no more than 50% of contracted price minus $100 drop fee, after 25% of program but less than 50% of program, will be charged no more than 75% plus $100 drop fee. A student completing more than 50% of program is not entitled to refund. Total cost of program after state board fees is $7815.00.
