Program Synopsis Business Certificate

Program Location: Signal Peak, Aravaipa, Maricopa, Superstition Mountain, & San Tan Campus. 

Course Objective:
Description: The Business Certificate prepares individuals for entry level positions in businesses, provides skills to help them organize their own business, and leads to the Business AAS.

Competencies to be achieved:

* Apply math concepts to solve business problems. (Application Level)
* Demonstrate and explain the process of maintaining accounting records for a business. (Analysis Level) 
* Appraise the environments in which businesses operate in local and global markets, including technology influences.(Analysis Level)  
* Examine the importance of ethical behavior and social responsibility from a business perspective. (Analysis Level)  
* Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to complete business reports. (Application Level)
* Analyze the concept of entrepreneurship as it applies to various business career sectors. (Analysis Level) 
* Recognize business terminology necessary for clear communication. (Comprehension Level)
* Evaluate skills needed for organizing and operating a business, including financial, marketing and management aspects. (Evaluation Level)
