A. Course Objective: Gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the HVAC-R field at Pima Community College. Our HVAC training program covers diagnostic techniques, and the principles of mechanics, electricity and electronics as they relate to the repair, installation, service and maintenance of HVAC-R systems.
Competencies to be achieved: Upon successful completion of the HVAC-R Technician Certificate program, the learner will be able to:
• Demonstrate understanding of industry standards and practice
• Interpret blueprints and schematics
