Description
A. Course Objective--
Description: The course is offered in two different modalities: (1) in-person at our Fourth Street campus in Flagstaff, 6-7 weeks on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3 pm, with some classes ending between 12:00-3:00 pm; or (2) in a hybrid format, 12 weeks, Mon-Thu in the evenings via Zoom, and in-person Fri-Sat at our Fourth Street Campus in Flagstaff, every 2-3 weeks. The exact schedule of the classes is determined before each course starts.
Each course and credentialing program has been tailored to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s multifamily housing professionals.
These programs target proficiency in specific areas of apartment housing management.
Students will learn the basics of interior and exterior maintenance and repair, electrical repair and maintenance, plumbing repair and maintenance, heating systems maintenance and repair, air conditioning maintenance and repair, and appliance repair and maintenance, each described below.
Competencies to be achieved:
The Interior and Exterior maintenance and repair course provides students with instruction on make-ready maintenance, new repair tips and tricks in key areas identified by expert apartment maintenance technicians
In the Electrical repair and maintenance course students will gain an understanding of their role in electrical repair and maintenance, improve their electrical knowledge, skills, and abilities, and perform electrical repairs.
The Plumbing repair and maintenance course will provide students with an understanding of plumbing repair and maintenance, improve plumbing knowledge, skills and abilities and perform plumbing repairs.
The Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) modules has two parts: heating systems and air conditioning.
