Description

A. Course Objective: provide students with didactic and fieldwork training in preparation for entry-level employment as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Students have the opportunity to develop professional skills in activity analysis, growth development, human occupations, principles of occupational therapy, therapeutic modalities, administrative procedures, and ethics and laws governing the practice of occupational therapy.

• The Tucson campus program requires a current AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card be presented at orientation and kept current for the duration of the program.
• A felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
