Course Objective:
*THIS PROGRAM IS FOR CURRENT AZ CNA’s or DCW’s TO BECOME CAREGIVERS PER NEW AZNCIA NOV18 RULEMAKING*- This program prepares candidates for the Arizona Assisted Living Caregiver exam. Formerly known as the 3-Level certification. Candidate is required to complete 22 hours of class, including medication training. Once Candidate passes state exam, they are able to obtain employment as an Assisted Living Caregiver. Must be able to obtain an AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card to obtain employment.
Minimum Requirements: Current AZ Nursing Assistant Certification or license, or Direct Care Worker Certification.
Ability to obtain a AZDPS Fingerprint Clearance card level.
High School Diploma or GED or pass an admission entrance exam administered by Academy On-Demand
Competencies to be achieved: AZ Assisted Living Caregiver training, such as taking vitals, medication management, 3 levels of care, job management, among others.
Total Cost of Program (include all costs to student including testing, licensure): Total cost for program and fees is $1,095.00
