Description

A. Course Objective:
The Network Support Specialist is the entry level of the Network Support series Positions in this class you will learn how to provide support in the use of network systems and equipment. This training is designed to develop competence in providing technical support and advanced training in the use of network systems and equipment. You will also learn to perform support activities for the installation of network cabling, cable termination, fiber optic cable installation and termination; installing, maintaining and monitoring electronic equipment including: network cards, CSU/DSUs, hubs, routers, switches, controllers, multiplexors and other related networking equipment. Students will also learn how to monitor network performance, and utilize network testing equipment and computers to discover, diagnose and correct network performance problems and failures; Additional training is provided in the area of preparation and maintenance of network documentation and diagrams. Students are also trained in telecommunications and network industry concepts, methods and standards for application to assigned work.

Tuition refunds are determined as follows:
1. Before the beginning of classes, the student is entitled to a refund of 100% of the tuition.
2. After the commencement of classes, the tuition refund amount shall be determined as
follows:

10% or less 90% refund
More than 10% and less than or equal to 20% 80% refund
More than 20% and less than or equal to 30% 70% refund
More than 30% and less than or equal to 40% 60% refund
More than 40% and less than or equal to 50% 50% refund
More than 50% No Refund is required
3. Books and Supplies: There is no refund for used equipment, books and supplies received by the student. (CLC will Refund students for issued equipment, books and supplies if not used or opened).
4. Exam fees: paid up-front will be refunded in full if exam not taken.
5. Special Cases: In case of prolonged illness or accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical for the student to complete the program, the school may make a settlement, which is reasonable and fair.
