Program Synopsis (Nursing Assistant)

A. Course Objective:
2. The Nursing Assistant Program is designed to prepare students to be eligible for Nursing Assistant certification (CNA) or licensing (LNA) through the Arizona State Board of Nursing and, upon examination, to practice in a health care agency as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). The LNA is required to apply to the CAC Nursing Program.
Competencies to be achieved: The program consists of entry-level nursing skills, supervised clinical experience, and basic anatomy, physiology, nutrition and medical terminology pertinent to nursing assistants in nursing homes or hospitals.

$ Total Estimated Cost of Program (In-State): $1,422.
In-State Tuition: 8 credit hours X $86 per credit hour = $688.
Out-of-State Tuition: 8 credit hours X $370 per credit hour = $2,960.
