Description

A. Course Objective:
To prepare individuals for core construction and industrial occupation essentials, combined with hands-on training, delivered in partnership with employers in construction/industrial trades.
B. Description:
NCCER is a credentialing program that builds a foundation for basic employment skills, core academic skills, entry level competencies and moves toward teaching advanced competencies to individuals entering multiple career paths.

Competencies to be achieved: Entry level competencies, including math, reading, technology, and problem solving are taught and tested, which include safety protocols and industry terminology. Performance testing is required so show knowledge of tool handling and proper procedures. When completing all competencies testing, individuals will receive a “Certified Plus” credential.

I. Additional information:
• Background check requirement for licensing and background restrictions for working in different occupations varies depending on the employer/industry.
• Other requirements needed: drug testing required.
J. Refund Policy (provide a summary if Refund policy is not listed on school website):
Cancellation – Any applicant wanting to cancel their participation in classes must do so within 3 days of signing the enrollment agreement for a full refund.
(This excludes weekends -Saturday and Sunday and all state and federal holidays).
If completed within the 3 days after enrollment, 100% refund will be paid, as long as it is still prior to attending any classes.
100% refund will be provided within 30 days of receiving the notice of cancellation.
Other Cancellation – Any applicant requesting cancellation after the initial 3 days of signing the agreement and making an initial payment, but prior to entering classes, will be entitled to a refund of all monies paid minus an administrative fee of 100.00 OR have the option to take the class at a later time within the following 6 months.

There are more than 70 different craft areas to gain stackable credentials beyond Core Training. Training in craft
areas relative to this training can include career pathways in oil and gas companies, plants and manufacturers,
and construction trades. Examples include:

o Industrial Maintenance mechanic, Electrical & Instrumentation Technician
o Structures/Sheet Metal Fabrication
o Ironworking
o Pipefitting
o Gas Pipeline Operations
o Pipeline Maintenance
o Welding
