Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
This certificate prepares students for a career in HVAC installation and includes the topics of estimating and bidding a project, plan set reading, installing ducting and electrical, the proper procedures for installing split system and package HVAC systems, and system start-up. Note:
- This course is a competency-based program and requires a grade of B or better in each course in order to progress to the next course or set of courses.
- For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
- Competency Based Education (CBE) operates under the MCC Student Handbook and the CBE Student Handbook.
