Description
Course Objective: Cosmetology • Acquire knowledge of laws and regulations that govern the establishment practices of the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology. • Acquire knowledge of protection against infections in relation to all phases of hair, skin, and nails. • Acquire knowledge of the general theory relating to cosmetology including anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and theory. • Acquire business management techniques common to cosmetology. • The licensed cosmetologist will be prepared to seek a profitable job as a hairdresser, lounge director, hair colorist, salon owner, product demonstrator or style publicist. They will be experts in all areas of Cosmetology. Description: The cosmetology course of study of 1,500 hours of the clock that cover all aspects of the beautification and, skin care, nail technology and pedicure, mandate of the Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. The course is designed to prepare the student to pass the Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Licensure Exam and to assist the student in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in the field of beauty. Passing the exam is necessary to obtain a Cosmetology License. The License is a requirement to operate as a cosmetologist in the state of Arizona. Approximate number of weeks to complete the course based on hours completed per week, plus an additional 2 weeks for vacation. B. Total Cost of Program (include all costs to student including testing, licensure): Tuition: $15,000.00 Includes Kit/book State Exam: $247.00 Total: $15,247.00 *Some students may decide to purchase additional tools in addition to what is provided in kit. Some students spend up to $200 to purchase additional tools. This is student choice only. C. Additional information: • Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation: We do not do background checks for students to enroll at our school, but it is nice to know if a student has any, so we are aware. • Other requirements needed: They don’t do a background check to take the state test, but they might require one depending on the place of employment. Refund Policy (provide a summary if Refund policy is not listed on school website): Applicants who cancel the registration or students who withdraw from enrollment will apply a fair and equitable agreement. The following Policy will apply to all terminations for any reason, by either party, including the student’s decision, cancellation of the course or program, or closure of the school. Any money due to the applicant or students will be returned within 45 days of the cancellation or official withdrawal. The refund is also based on percentage of completed course length/hours. I.
