Description:
The purpose of this course is to allow students and IT professionals to move into the cybersecurity field.
This course meets the specifications for two different industry certification programs, the TestOut Ethical Hacker Pro certification and the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker.
this course was created with the expectation that you already taken Computer and Network support classes. You should know what a network is and how it functions. You should also understand IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP, as well as basic security practices.
Competencies to be achieved:
1. Reconnaissance, also known as the preparatory phase. This is where the hacker gathers information about a target before launching an attack. This task is completed in phases prior to exploiting system vulnerabilities.
2. Scanning. In the scanning phase, the hacker identifies a quick way to gain access to the network and look for information.
3. Gaining access phase. Hackers gain access to the system, applications, and network, and escalates their user privileges to take control of systems.
4. Maintain access. This is where the hacker keep accessing the organization’s systems to launch additional attacks on the network.
5. Cover your tracks. After the hacker gains access, they cover their tracks to avoid being detected by security personnel.

Hardware Requirements:
- This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac. Mac users are encouraged to have access to a Windows environment on their device.
- A reliable Internet connection of at least 1 Mbps – to view video tutorials.
- Headphones or speakers connected to your computer – to listen to video tutorials.
- Any web cam with a minimum of 640×480 video pixel resolution – including both external and built-in web cams.
- A microphone connected to your computer.
Software Requirements:
- PC: Windows 10 or later.
- Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
- Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

Refund Policy:
Tuition refunds are determined as follows:
1. Before the beginning of classes, the student is entitled to a refund of 100% of the tuition.
2. After the commencement of classes, the tuition refund amount shall be determined as follows:
Percentage of the clock hours attempted: Tuition Refund amount: 10% or less = 90% refund, More than 10% and less than or equal to 20% = 80% refund, More than 20% and less than or equal to 30% = 70% refund, More than 30% and less than or equal to 40% = 60% refund, More than 40% and less than or equal to 50% = 50% refund, More than 50% = No Refund is required

Books and Supplies: There is no refund for used equipment, books and supplies received by the student. (CLC will Refund students for issued equipment, books and supplies if not used or opened).
Exam fees: paid up-front will be refunded in full if exam not taken.
Special Cases: In case of prolonged illness or accident, death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical for the student to complete the program, the school may make a settlement, which is reasonable and fair.
