A. Course Objective:
Description: Penn Foster College’s online Pharmacy Technician Professional is aligned with ASHP/ACPE standards to prepare graduates to successfully pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) certification exams.
Competencies to be achieved: Pharmacy Technician Professional Career Diploma and upon successful completion of the certification, Certified Pharmacy Technician

Practical Lab exercises including simulation activities, Practice Lab kit ($475 value) containing items necessary for students to complete their practical labs, Pharmacy Management Software for Pharmacy Technicians, Graduates will receive a voucher to cover the cost of PTCE certification exam

• Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation: Acceptance into the required externship component of this program requires: passing a background check. Illicit drug use, criminal background checks, and immunization status may prevent future employment as a pharmacy technician
• Other requirements needed: a 10-panel drug screen, BLS CPR Certification and having a minimum cumulative grade average of 70%
