A. Course Objective:
Description: Learn fundamental skills in machine shop operations, including machining inspection and quality assurance. Through a combination of bookwork and hand-on practice, this certificate prepares students for a specialized career in machining inspection and quality assurance, which is the process of making sure that products meet specifications and quality guidelines.
Competencies to be achieved: Upon successful completion of the Machining Inspection & Quality Assurance Certificate program, the learner will be able to:
• Comprehend blueprints in use of applied measurement.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), use of inspection gauges and equipment for accurate parts checking.
