Description

A. Course Objective:
Graduates will be prepared to pass the written and skills state exams and become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
The Nursing Assistant course is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing (AZBN) and is 120 training hours. If successfully completed, the student may take the State Certification exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Training includes in-person or virtual classroom lectures, in-person skill development, and hands-on practice in clinical sites or activities and scenarios mirroring a clinical experience.
Competencies to be achieved: Competencies are required in all AZBN required topics including basic patient care

$2,200.00

Nursing Assisting: A Foundation in Caregiving, CGTI Nursing Assistant Skills Lab, and Arizona Nursing Assistant Candidate Handbook.

D. Provide a list of all supplies required for the program (even if costs are included in tuition):
Blood Pressure/stethoscope kit, gait belt, and one set of scrubs

CGTI Enrollment Requirements:
• Government Issued Photo ID

• Citizenship/Nationality/Alien status documentation
• Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current Negative Tuberculosis Screen
• Proof of current CPR/First Aid certification
• Disclosure of Vaccination Status 
• Central Registry background check
• Negative Drug Screen
• Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation:
Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
For optional LNA after class completion, a second fingerprint clearance though the AZBN + $100 fee

Student must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds unassisted

H. Refund Policy
Refund Before Commencement of Classes:
An applicant who provides written notice of cancellation after signing an enrollment agreement and before the first day of is entitled to a refund under the following circumstances:
• The student uses the refund toward payment of another class within 90 days;
• The student accepts the refund minus a $150 administration fee;
• A student may only reschedule a class once but failure to participate in the subsequent class will result in forfeiture of all funds paid to CGTI. 
No refund will be given after the commencement of class.

J. Credential Attainment Rate:
Percentage of students in the last 24 months who obtained a postsecondary credential, or secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent, during participation or within one year after exit from the training program.
In the last 24 months, 137 students have taken the state certification exam with a pass-rate of 69% on the written component and 78% on the skills component.
