Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
This certificate trains students for entry-level positions in the high wage, high demand trucking industry. Students will be prepared to take the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (ADOT MVD) Class A Commercial Driver License permit exam. Endorsements covered include double and triple trailers, tank vehicles, and hazmat. Courses provide theory, application, and practice in close course instruction. Students also complete 30 hours of behind the wheel instructions to practice and develop the skills necessary to obtain a Class A CDL through ADOT MVD. Students may take CDL 110. Commercial Driving: Behind the Wheel Refresher for an additional 30 hours of driving and instruction. In addition to general tuition, course fees apply to CDL 101, CDL 102, and CDL 110. Students will be required to drive and test at ADOT MVD or an Authorized Third Party (ATP) Commercial Driver Licensing Examination site. An additional fee will be required.
