Course Objective:
To prepare students for successful practice as nursing assistants in the State of Arizona. To prepare students to pass the state board exam for Nursing Assistants in Arizona. To train students to become caring and competent professionals capable of excellence and ethical practice in the field of Nursing and in client care in the state of Arizona.
Description:
The Nursing Assistant Training Program is offered in 2 sessions or schedules. There is the 'Day Session' and there is a ‘Night Session', both of which are full-time for 5 weeks.
All students are informed of the Arizona State Board of Nursing requirements for Certification/Licensure.
Compliance with all registration requirements and strict adherence to the 120 hours attendance guidelines set by the Arizona State Board of Nursing is mandatory.
Of the 120 hours required, 80 hours will be for classroom work and laboratory skills training; and 40 hours will consist of clinical experience at an off-site facility.
Students are expected to attend all classes, laboratory training, and clinical experiences. It is important to note that this program is controlled by State and Federal regulations and certain requirements are mandatory.
Competencies to be achieved:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): a person who passes an approved CNA course and the state manual skills/written exams and whose name is placed on the CNA registry. Any substantiated allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property/theft will be reported to the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and will be listed on the registry.
All students upon graduation shall have access to about 500 questions in preparation for the Arizona State Board of Nursing Examination for licensing as Certified Nursing Assistant.

Refund Policy:
- Any applicant who provides written notice of cancellation within three days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and federal or Arizona state holidays) of signing an enrollment agreement or prior to the commencement of classes is entitled to a refund of all monies paid (except for the non-refundable registration fee) within 30 days of receiving such written notice of cancellation. A letter requesting refund/cancellation should be addressed to the ‘Director of Administrations’.
- After the commencement of classes, students on the 5-week schedule will be able to collect a refund of TUITION on a pro-rata percentage basis for the classroom hours that have not been attended as follows:
10% or less clock hours attended, Refund shall be at least 90%,
More than 10% and less than or equal to 20%, Refund shall be at least 70%,
More than 20% and less than or equal to 50%, Refund shall be at least 50%,
More than 50% of total clock hours attended, NO REFUND shall be made to any student.
All percentages are calculated based on full tuition payment.
