Instructional Program (CIP)
Description
This program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment with an Arizona law enforcement agency as a certified Peace Officer. All academy training is mandated by the state and certified by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZ POST). Students will complete a minimum of 663 hours of training per AZ POST.
This program is offered only to individuals who have met the minimum qualifications as specified by AZ POST. To attend the academy, an individual must either be appointed by a law enforcement agency or apply through the application process. For information regarding the Law Enforcement Training Academy, contact the Globe Campus. A background check will be required.
This program will follow requirements and qualifications as designated by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board. For AZ POST rules visit: https://post.az.gov/certification
