Description
Course Objective for Nail Technician: Acquire knowledge in both general theory and clinic practice. With general theory a student will lean infection control, disease and disorders of the nail and skin, anatomy and physiology and histology of the limbs, nail and skin structures, and the laws and rules of the state of Arizona. Clinic and laboratory practice of nail technology includes: infection control, safety principles and practices, disease recognition, treatment of nails and skin disorders, professional ethics, etc., etc. In the nail technician program you will learn how to do the following: natural nails, encapsulated nails, 3D nails, acrylic nails, sculpted, white tip, manicure, and pedicure. The state of Arizona requires a total of 600 hours for a nail technician license. We prepare the student to be able to pass both the theory and practical exams with the Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology and assist the student in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in the field of beauty. Passing Both state exams is necessary to obtain the Nail Technician License. The tuition for this program is $8,500.00 and this includes the kit/books needed. The state exam is $247.00, for a total cost of $8,747.00 * Some students may purchase additional tools than what is provided in the kit, an estimate is around $200.00, but this is the choice of the student.
