Description
Barber Course Objective: Acquire knowledge of laws and regulations the establishment practices of the Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Students will be trained in practical and theory of barbering, as well as barbershop management. Students will learn and perform hair care, scalp care, skin care, and shaving. The students will also be taught to ensure the clients are happy with the provided/performed services. Students will be able to gain self-confidence and embody professional integrity. The program will provide the students with the necessary skills to pass the state exam. Passing the state exam is necessary to obtain a Barbering License. The Arizona State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology requires 1200 hours of training to graduate from a training school. The school will assist the student in gaining the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level position in the field of beauty. The tuition is $13,300.00 and it includes the kit/books necessary for school. The state exam is $140.00 for a total of $13,440.00 *Some students may decide to purchase additional tools in additional tools in addition to what is provided in the kit. Some students spend up to $200.00 to purchase additional tools. This is a student choice, For the Barber program the MILADY book is required and provided by the school. Credential Attainment Rate: Percentage of students in the last 24 months who obtained a postsecondary credential, or secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent, during participation or within one year after exit from the training program.
Other requirements: High school diploma is not required for this course; 10th grade completion is acceptable.

Refund Policy
Yes, for applicants who cancel enrollment, or students who withdraw from enrollment, a fair and equitable agreement will apply. The following policy will apply to all terminations for any reason, by either party, including the student's decision, program cancellation, or school closure. Any monies owed to the applicant or student must be refunded within 45 days of the official cancellation or withdrawal.
