Description
Course Objective: In this program you will explore the applications and techniques used to streamline business processes and decision-making with data. You will understand how to collect, organize, and analyze large sets of data, discover patterns and other useful information, and leverage your findings to achieve a competitive advantage in any industry or field. The course will lead to a certificate in applied business data analytics. This credential will provide you with the tools to launch a dynamic career with global potential, in a world increasingly ruled by data.
The course is designed for undergraduate students and working professionals interested in an industry recognized certificate but who also have some interest in a bachelor’s or higher-level degree at some point.
Description: The Applied Business Data Analytics Certificate will consist of 6 courses (18 credit hours) that stack directly into degree programs within the W.P. Carey School of Business. This course will be 100% online. It is recommended that the participant start with CIS 105, but the sequence of the other courses is flexible.
- CIS 105: Computer Applications and Information Technology (CS) (3 credits)
- CIS 308: Advanced Excel in Business (3 credits)
- CIS 309: Business Process Management (3 credits)
- CIS 310: Business Data Visualization (3 credits)
- CIS 405: Business Intelligence (3 credits)
- CIS 313/394: Location Analytics for Business (3 credits)
