Description
Program Name: Automated Industrial Technology I
Course Objective/Description: The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Automated Industrial Technology I prepares students to troubleshoot, maintain and repair a variety of automated electro-mechanical, product assembly and product distribution systems that use other methodologies to accomplish system management. These systems include mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic devices. Through this certificate, graduates will gain the skills to define, install, and maintain complex production systems. Includes preparation for National Institutes of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification exams.
Competencies to be achieved:
- Collaborate with individuals to achieve common goals.
- Use and monitor equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Analyze AC/DC circuits, and analog and digital systems.
- Perform, monitor and interpret machine operation.
- Interpret electrical and electronic control and power schematics and measure current, voltage and resistance.
- Analyze and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic and other automated industrial equipment.
- Utilize computer software program applications relevant to the field.
- Apply electronic and mechanical fabrication techniques.
- Describe and adhere to safety, health and environmental rules and regulations. 10. Practice professional standards of the industry and ethical behavior.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Tuition is $1360 (Estrella Mountain Community college), Registration fee is $15 (Estrella Mountain Community College), $253 for Amatrol Learning Management System, $125 course fees, $130 for National Industrial of MetalWorking Skills (NIMS) testing
