Course Objective:
Description: This program prepares new law enforcement recruits for certification by the Arizona Peace Officer Standards & Training Board (AZPOST) as sworn law enforcement officers in the state of Arizona.
Competencies to be achieved: Competencies in eight functional areas as specified by AZPOST: Introduction to Law Enforcement, Law & Legal, Patrol Procedures, Traffic Control, Criminal Investigations, Community Policing, Report Writing, and Proficiency Topics (First Aid and Physical Fitness)

As with other CCC courses, the deadline to drop this program is the first day of the second week of the class. Sponsors will be billed for participants the day following. No refunds will be given for students who withdraw or stop attending after the drop / refund deadline.

This is a new program that will first be offered in Fall 2022, and completion statistics for this program are not yet available. Average completion rates in other AZPOST academies in Arizona are around 80%.
Program currently only available to the following agencies: Flagstaff Police Department, Coconino County Sheriff's Office, and Northern Arizona University Police Department.
