A.
Course Objective: Description: Falcon Truck Driving Academy is a family-owned operation. Our goal is to provide upcoming students with the necessary knowledge and skills to enter into the truck driving industry. This program takes students through the process of obtaining their class A CDL permit written tests at the Motor Vehicle Division and then obtain their Class A CDL license by passing third party CDL testing on pre-trip, inspection, backing, and road skills. The course entails a 4 week full-time commitment
Competencies to be achieved: Students will spend 40 hours in classroom training in preparation for written test to obtain their class A CDL permit. The following 120 hours implements hands on instruction covering Pre-Trip inspection, Backing Skills, and On the road driving skills in varying traffic situations.

• Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation: Arizona Motor Vehicle Division requires a Birth Certificate or Passport, Photo ID and Social Security Card to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License Permit.
• Ability to pass a Drug Screen
• Job placement assistance is provided with over-the- road (OTR) national carriers/companies that hire our graduates directly upon completion of training.

• Be 21 years or older.
• Must have an active Arizona Driver License.
• Must meet Department of Transportation physical requirements.
• Must be able read and speak English language sufficiently to converse with the general public; including understanding highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, the ability to respond to official inquires, and make entries on reports and records.
