Description
Course Objective:
To obtain a Commercial Driver’s License once the program is completed (regulations, driving skills, parking skills, and range skills).
Competencies to be achieved:
Classic CDL Class A 160 Hours Course is designed to train entry-level driver's in the Industry of Truck Driving. This program provides entry level drivers detailed training to obtaining his/her Class A CDL Permit/License and Hands On training in Log Books, Electronic Logs, Map Reading, Trip Planning, Safety Regulations etc.
Student will receive hands-on instruction on Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection, Backing Skills, and will have On-Road Driving skills training. Program is 4 weeks of training (160 hours of training).
We provide training by the best CDL instructors in the industry on safe and proper pre-trip, skills, backing techniques in a semi-tractor trailer. Road is conducted in restricted areas, public streets and highways training students to handle various and all traffic situations.
Upon successful completion of the Class A Vehicle Driver Certificate program, the students will be able to:
• Interpret and apply knowledge of US Department of Transportation regulations to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class A permit and license.
• Demonstrate competencies of basic maneuvers in operating a combination vehicle, including backing skills.
• Identify potential safety concerns or issues when performing a pre-trip inspection and citing safety hazards while performing the road trip.
• Demonstrate driving proficiency of basic skills in road training to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class A.
We will train you to be a confident and safe commercial driver with a class A Commercial Drivers License with 80 hours of class training, and 80 hours of pre-trip training, driving course training, and behind the wheel on road training.
This program meets the requirements of Entry Level Driving Training (ELDT) standards.

• Background check requirements for licensing and background restrictions for working in the occupation:
n/a, but will review criminal history; - drug test and physical screening, Sign a release form for a copy of student’s Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (or provide a copy of one to the Program Office)
• Other requirements needed: Be at least 18 years old (Students 18-20 are limited to driving in-state only)
• Have a Class D (minimum) Driver’s License for at least one year
• Have consent forms on file with the Program Office for any agency sponsoring the student and/or companies where the student has completed applications
• Provide the following documents to the Program Office so that official copies can be produced:
*Valid Driver’s License,
*Social Security Card,
*U.S. Birth Certificate or U.S. Passport or Legal Resident Card
Once students complete the program with successful scores, they will receive a Certificate of Completion.
