Description

A. Course Objective: Graduates will demonstrate basic knowledge in data analytics that will prepare them to obtain an entry-level position within the field.


B. Description: Prepares students for an entry-level role in data analytics with a focus on spreadsheets, data cleansing, and analysis.


Competencies to be achieved:


PIT 105 Google Data Analytics Professional (4 cr.): Introduction to the practices and processes of data analytics.


Outcomes:



  • Understand how to clean and organize data for analysis.

  • Learn how to complete analysis and calculations using spreadsheets, SQL, and R

  • Learn how to visualize and present data findings in dashboards, presentations, and commonly
    used visualization platforms.

  • Utilize key analytical skills (data cleaning, analysis, and visualization) and tools (spreadsheets, SQL, R programming, Tableau)
