Description
Course Objective:
The Front End Software Developer program is an 18-week program consisting of three 6-week courses: Introduction to Java Script, Front End Technologies and Web App design with React JS. Students learn the skills and technologies necessary to enter the industry as a Front End Software Developer. Skills and technologies include JavaScript (ES6), CSS, Sass, git, CLI navigation, HTML, Bootstrap, npm, JQuery, AJAX, React, Axios, Responsive Design, debugging, and more.
Competencies to be achieved: Students will be able to 1) design and develop front end APPs using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and ReactJS; 2) utilize programming concepts in JavaScript such as design patterns, and algorithms to solve business problems; 3) design and develop normalized databases in an RDBMS; 4) understand source control using Git; 5) implement basic application security features; 6) deploy an application to AWS using Elastic Beanstalk; and 7) write unit tests for application code.. Students will build multiple projects ranging from static websites to full blown, responsive, dynamic, front end applications. This program is offered through GateWay Community College in collaboration with Promineo Tech. Promineo Tech collaborates with community colleges to prepare participants for high-growth Careers in software development.

Tuition: $3,900 Certification Exam: $95 paid directly to W3schools after course completion.
