Description
Basic Power Generation

A. Program Objective: Graduates will demonstrate basic knowledge in the selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of generators, including how to isolate and repair minor generator problems.
Description: Basic knowledge of generator operations, including identifying the main components of generators to diagnose the most common issues with generators and to complete routine maintenance on a variety of generators. Also includes safety precautions and knowledge of all codes related to generator installation/operation/maintenance.
Competencies to be achieved (4 credits):
B. ECT 240 Power Generation Operation, Maintenance, and Repair (4 cr): The selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of generators, to include how to isolate and repair minor generator problems.
