Description
Program Objective: To prepare competent entry-level Surgical Technologists in knowledge and skills. To foster attitudes of awareness, interest, attention, concern, and responsibility towards all people.
Program Learning Outcomes:
- Accountability - Practice within the ethical, professional and legal frameworks of surgical technology practice standards.
- Safe Effective Care Environment - Provide safe, efficient environment for patients and O.R. Team members.
- Communication - Utilize communication and interpersonal relationship skills with patients and other members of the health care team, including instructors.
- Health Promotion and maintenance - Exhibit behavioral awareness and management of stressors, both internal and external.
- Culture - Mitigate biological and cultural diversity's impact on self and others within healthcare field.
